Being Kind to Yourself
A Mindfulness Class for Teens

Tuesday Evenings in October
 

Our brains can get caught in a constant stress mode, which eventually leads to negative self-talk, depression, anxiety, and overwhelm. This is a class for teens who want to learn how to notice their stress level and how we can combat the negative effects of constant stress in our lives. 

We use stories, art, meditation, and discussion to learn together in a simple, fun way.

Science-backed skills will be introduced to the class in hopes to address many real-life thought patterns, including:

  • "I can't stop thinking about this" How to notice your thoughts without becoming them.

  • "I don't know how I am feeling" How to label and describe emotions. 

  • "Life is too hard I wish it would just be easy!" How to experience pain without suffering. 

  • "I am not ____ enough" "I am so fat, dumb, annoying, lame, etc." How to notice mean thoughts and replace them with positive, true statements. 

 

Each lesson, students will learn simple tools and skills to practice at home, school, or wherever they need them. The cost covers 4 classes, 1.5 hours long, meditation audio files, dual tip art pens, and our 50-page Self-Compassion Handbook to help you during the class and to continue what you've learned throughout your life. Class size limited to 12 teens.

Age Recommendation: Middle and High Schoolers

Days & Time: Tuesday evenings in October 8th-28th. 7:00-8:30 pm

Price: $200 per person - family discount $100 for each additional sibling

Self-Compassion For Moms
Wednesday Mornings in October
 

The world needs more kindness, and we say start with yourself! This class teaches you to meet your moments of distraction, reaction, overstimulation, overwhelm, loneliness and despair with curiosity, awareness, connection, calmness, hope and kindness. It may sound impossible, but we promise it is absolutely possible. Science has proven it too!

We'll teach self-compassion and emotional responsibility through group discussion, art, writing, meditation, and personal reflection. Come and be calmed, uplifted and enlightened as we learn what self-compassion looks like, feels like and sounds like--and how it can become a leading voice in your life. 

​

Science-backed skills will be introduced to the class in hopes to address many real-life scenarios, including:

  • Having unkind thoughts or stuck in the same thoughts

  • Wishing you felt more motivated or more satisfied with your daily life

  • Creating deeper connections with your kids and loved ones

  • Experiencing symptoms of depression or anxiety
     

The cost covers 4 classes, 1.5 hours long, meditation audio files, dual tip art pens, and our 50-page Self-Compassion Handbook to help you during the class and to continue what you've learned throughout your life. Class size limited to 12 adults.
